Simon Patches

HOW TO USE THIS TABLE: Compare the [Instructions] Column against the revision you are presently at in Simon to see if your revision is older than what is listed there. You can find out what revision you are at in Simon by clicking on the Help menu and then choosing 'About this Software' from the drop down menu. The revision is listed there. If your revision is older, you will need to download and unzip the adjacent file, or files. You should move down through each row in the table and download all of the files that your present revision is older than. If your revision is old, you may have to download and unzip all of the files. When you unzip the files you download, be sure that Simon is closed and that you unzip the files from the oldest to the newest.

Simon Version 3 Upgrade (4/1/2007) (FOR THOSE UPGRADING FROM VERSION 2--DO THIS ONE FILE ONLY) The following upgrade to Simon Version 3 adds many new features and beautifies an already beautiful program. Please read the upgrade instructions in the file How to Upgrade to Simon Version 3 (193KB). To upgrade to the latest Simon revision, download and unzip the file to the left. Simon Revision 3.09.00 (4/1/2007) (FOR THOSE AT VERSION 3 ALREADY) Do not do this revision if you have not upgraded to Version 3 yet. Do the 's_3.exe' listed above instead. The adjacent revision file, s3_09_00.exe, is for those who are already using Version 3. Patch Download/Install Instructions

From time to time we will be adding downloadable files to this page. A patch, if you are not already aware, is a program, or portion thereof, that will enhance the operation of another program or fix problems that most certainly will surface over time. As much time as we spend debugging these programs, we will still have bugs surface--it's inevitable. It is, however, wonderful that the Internet has given us a quick, easy and affordable way to distribute these patches. Please check this page often, especially if you are having problems with a program we produce, because a fix will more than likely show up here. If the problem you are having is getting in the way of your doing business, or causing great discomfort, please let us know so we can fix it. If you prefer not to download patches from this page, you can have us cut a CD for you, but there will be a corresponding $20.00 charge for each CD we create for you.

All patches found on this page will download and install without too much fussing around. First, you should have the program already installed on your computer as a patch will fix a problem or enhance the operations of an existing program. Loading the patch first will cause it to be overwritten by the problematic program file. Click on the link to the patch to download. This will load it to your hard drive. Find it on your hard drive and double click on the file. A box will appear telling you it will be unzipped to the correct folder. Do just as instructed and the task of installing the patch is done.
