Dexter Fuel surcharges

We have changed the way we do the fuel surcharges. You don't have to go into price factors anymore to input the fuel charges. We have developed a file that you download and unzip. It will automatically replace your fuel surcharges in your Dexter software on the date they go into effect. This will make it easy for you to change your fuel surcharges every month.

If you are currently at revision 3.30.00 or beyond, continue on to Step One below.

Note: If you are not at revision 3.30.00, or beyond, then you need to get upgraded to the latest revision. If you hadn't done so, please upgrade to the latest revision as soon as you can. Go to our B&L Associates website (http://www.bnl.com), click on the Dexter Upgrade text located to your left hand side on B&L Associates main webpage. After upgrading to the latest Dexter revision, continue on to Step One below.

How to download the Fuel Surcharge file?

Step One

Step Two

1. A dialog box will appear, Click on the [Save] button,

2. Another dialog box will appear. Drop down the list box and choose a location where to save this file. We recommend that you save them to your [My Documents] folder

3.Click on [Save]

Step Three

ON YOUR LOCAL COMPUTER

After you have downloaded and saved the file above to your hard drive, close all running programs. Make sure Dexter is closed.

On your computer's desktop

* RIGHT click on the [My Computer] icon
* Choose [Explore] from the list

In the left pane of the Explore window

4. Click on [My Documents]

In the right pane of the Explore window

You should see the file

5. Double Clicked on the file Fuel Surcharges

6.A dialog box will appear,
* click on [UNZIP], or [RUN] then [UNZIP]. See diagrams below

That should do it, now UPS, FedEx DHL surcharges are upgraded in your Dexter Software, and will go into effect on the official date.
